Shelton man admits defrauding pandemic relief program

June 24, 2025 — David X. Sullivan, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, Harry Chavis, Special Agent in Charge of IRS Criminal Investigation in New England, and Ketty Larco-Ward, Inspector in Charge of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Boston Division, announced that Tony Sterlin Cantave, of Shelton, waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty today before U.S. District Judge Victor A.
