Jan. 29, 2025 — Danielle R. Sassoon, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced today that former U.S. Senator Robert Menendez, Wael Hana, a/k/a “Will Hana,” and Fred Daibes, were sentenced to 11 years, more than eight years, and seven years in prison, respectively, for bribery, foreign agent, and obstruction of justice offenses. Menendez, Hana, and Daibes were convicted on July 16, 2024, following a nine-week jury trial before U.S. District Judge Sidney H. Stein, who imposed today’s sentences. Read More
